Research

"Research is creating new knowledge" - Neil Armstrong

Research can help identify the needs of populations that are not well understood. It provides a platform for a continuous flow and exchange of ideas.

Under the Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities, we are involved in critical research studies that seek to improve the effectiveness of interventions for women at risk for breast cancer.  We promote community-based participatory research, involving the community in the planning and implementation of research in order to maximixe the benefit of the findings.

If you have general questions about the research we conduct, please contact Vicky Watkins at 202.687.8548.
